The Koehler K33900 Existent Gum Evaporation Bath is an advanced testing system designed for determining the existent gum content in fuels such as aviation gasoline, motor gasoline, and aircraft turbine fuels by means of controlled air or steam jet evaporation. Conforming fully to ASTM D381, IP 131, IP 540, ISO 6246, DIN 51784, FTM 791-3302, and NF M 07-004, this bath is essential for evaluating the deposits that can form in fuel systems due to storage. The Koehler K33900 features a fully insulated, high-efficiency machined aluminum block heated electrically for safe, high-temperature operation. The six-unit bath includes a built-in superheater and digital PID controller for accurate and stable temperature regulation (up to 475 °F / 246 °C) with ±1 °F (±0.5 °C) stability. Stainless steel jets and brass conical adapters ensure precise steam or air delivery, and a digital flowmeter provides real-time air or steam control to meet test standards. The model includes integrated safety features such as over-temperature protection, steam pressure gauge, low water cut-off, and automatic water level control. The solid-state thermoregulator, 3000W heater capacity, and 18 kW steam generator enable reliable performance for demanding lab environments. For lower-capacity needs, the Koehler K33780 offers a three-unit configuration with similar control features, ideal for labs performing fewer concurrent tests. Built with industrial-grade components, the Koehler Existent Gum Bath Series ensures consistent, accurate, and repeatable results for modern fuel testing laboratories.
