Koehler K43902 Dual Twin Foaming Characteristics Test Apparatus

The Koehler K43902 Dual Twin Foaming Characteristics Test Apparatus is engineered for evaluating the foaming tendency and stability of lubricating oils under standardized conditions, per ASTM D892, IP 146, ISO 6247, DIN 51566, FTM 791-3211/3213, and NF T 60-129. The system includes dual 12x18" constant temperature baths that perform two tests at 24°C (75°F) and two at 93.5°C (200°F) simultaneously. Each test position includes 1000mL test cylinders, certified diffusers, precision air delivery tubes, and flowmeters set at 94 mL/min. The baths feature microprocessor-based PID temperature control, copper immersion heaters, and 1⁄20 hp circulation stirrers, maintaining a tight ±1°F (±0.5°C) temperature uniformity. Dual digital LED displays show both actual and setpoint temperatures in °C/°F formats, and built-in over-temperature protection enhances operational safety. The cold bath includes exit air coils to cool effluent air and supports external refrigerant circulation in high ambient environments. Test cylinders are mounted securely via quick-locking cams and a stainless steel rack is included for post-test storage. With optional RS232 communications and enhanced programmable features available, the K43902 offers both accuracy and flexibility. It is also available in a special configuration for FTM 791-3213 aircraft lubricant testing, offering higher severity conditions tailored to aviation-grade lubricants.
