The Koehler K64290 Oxidation Stability Apparatus is specifically engineered for evaluating the oxidation stability of fuels and lubricants in accordance with ASTM D943, D2274, D4310, and additional global standards such as ISO 4263, ISO 12205, DIN 51586/87, AOCS CD12-57, and NF T 60-150. This benchtop system is available in 8-place and 12-place bath configurations, with floor models offering 30 and 60 test positions upon request. Samples are subjected to 95°C in the presence of oxygen or dry air; in the case of inhibited mineral oils, an iron-copper catalyst and water are introduced. The constant temperature bath features solid-state PID temperature control, individual calibrated flowmeters (3 L/h per cell), and a condenser water manifold with separate valves for each test position. Temperature stability exceeds ASTM requirements, and safety is ensured via a redundant over-temperature circuit. The stainless steel, double-wall insulated bath includes copper immersion heaters, a 1⁄20 hp stirrer for uniform heating, and an integrated support rack to properly submerge oxidation cells. The system supports optional RS232 communication and programmable control enhancements. Bath capacities are 9.9 gal (37.5 L) for the 8-place model and 19.0 gal (71.9 L) for the 12-place version. Oxidation cell glassware and accessories are sold separately, allowing configuration to specific test requirements including ASTM D2983 and AOCS CD12-57.
